Susan Murray is one of the UK's most consistently funny female stand-ups, a comic who built her name the hard way, gigging relentlessly on the circuit under the stage name Harpie before settling into the sharp, warm and thoroughly honest style she's known for today. She was a finalist in the Daily Telegraph Open Mic competition in 1997 and won the first ever Jongleurs new act competition the following year, early proof of the writing instincts that would go on to define her career.
Susan has written for some of British radio's biggest comedy shows, contributing to BBC Radio 4's The Now Show, Newsjack and The News Quiz, as well as Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats. She has performed four solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, made her television acting debut in ITV's The Job Lot, and became the first woman to MC Decompression gigs for the British Army and CSE. Her club and festival work has taken her from Glastonbury, Bestival and Download to gigs as far afield as Dubai, Qatar, China and Germany.
That breadth of experience, from military bases to music festivals to comedy clubs, makes Susan a genuinely versatile booking. She reads a room fast and adapts without ever losing her edge, which is exactly what corporate and club promoters need from a headliner. Whether it's a themed festival stage, a corporate dinner or a Saturday night club bill, Susan delivers a set that's sharp, warm and reliably funny.
