Stephen Bailey - comedian, presenter and Live at the Apollo favourite

Stephen Bailey is a Manchester-raised stand-up whose gossipy, sharp-tongued take on everyday life has made him one of the north's favourite comedy exports. He built his name on the northern club circuit before breaking through nationally, reaching the semi-finals of the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year in 2012 and selling out his solo debut at the Edinburgh Fringe just two years later. His style leans on quickfire observation, playful audience interaction and an unapologetically camp, working-class voice that audiences warm to instantly.

Since then Stephen has become a regular face on British television and radio, hosting Live at the Apollo for the BBC and appearing as a guest on Would I Lie to You. He has fronted entertainment formats including Celebs on the Farm, Celebs on the Ranch and Takeshi's Castle, recorded his own Radio 4 stand-up special One of Many, and taken acting roles in Channel 5's The Madame Blanc Mysteries and Russell T Davies' Channel 4 drama Tip Toe. He also co-hosts the podcast Let's Talk About the Husband alongside fellow comedian Zoe Lyons.

His warm, quick-witted hosting style and broad television profile make Stephen a strong fit for corporate events, awards nights and club headline slots that want a name people already recognise. He is equally comfortable compering a room as delivering his own set, and his broadcasting experience means he can adapt tone and pace confidently for any audience or occasion.
