Sally-Anne Hayward - stand-up comedian, compere and broadcaster

Sally-Anne Hayward is a stand-up comedian, writer and broadcaster who has built her name on the UK club circuit with an accessible, sharply observational style that critics have likened to early Sarah Millican, a mix of warmth and "naughty but nice" mischief. She began performing in the early 2000s and has since become one of the circuit's most in-demand comperes, regularly hosting stages at Glastonbury Festival alongside her own headline sets. Confident and quick on her feet, she reads a room instinctively, which has made her as comfortable running a packed club night as fronting a corporate audience.

Her broadcasting credits run deep: she co-hosted the ARIA-nominated BBC Radio Ulster show Tell Teresa, appeared on BBC Radio 4's Mark Steel's Unite and Elephant in the Room, and was a breakfast radio presenter on Star 107.2. On screen she has featured in Absolutely Fabulous and The Blame Game for the BBC and worked as TV warm-up for Channel 4's Deal or No Deal. She has written and performed numerous solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, provided tour support for Sarah Millican, Russell Howard, Russell Kane and Hal Cruttenden, and was named Best UK Compere in 2019.

That combination of stagecraft, broadcasting polish and genuine warmth makes Sally-Anne a dependable booking for corporate dinners, club nights and festival stages alike. She has performed for major clients including Virgin Media and Alcatel, and her ability to compere as confidently as she headlines means she can carry an entire evening on her own. Sharp, personable and always in control of the room, she is exactly the kind of act that leaves an audience wanting more.
