Philip Simon trained as an actor, graduating from the Guildford School of Acting in 2001, and spent a decade acting professionally before finally taking the stand-up advice he'd been getting for years and starting comedy in 2011. That performing background shows in a set built on confident timing and genuine stagecraft, drawn from his own everyday life and delivered with the polish of someone who has spent years learning how to hold a room.
He has become one of the most sought-after compere and opening or closing acts on the UK circuit, gigging throughout Britain as well as in New York, Scandinavia, Europe, the Middle East and Auckland. He won Jewish Comedian of the Year, Lastminute Comedy Comedian of the Year and Kill for a Seat Comedian of the Year, all in 2015, and came second in the UK Pun Championships in 2020. He is also widely known for playing Daddy Pig in the UK theatre tour and West End production of Peppa Pig's Party.
That Peppa Pig credit alongside genuine circuit compering experience makes Philip Simon a natural family-friendly comedian for all-ages shows, as well as a safe, professional pair of hands to compere any club night or corporate event end to end.
