Nick Doody has been performing stand-up since the 1990s, when, still a student, he got an early vote of confidence by being asked to support the legendary Bill Hicks at Hicks's own request. He went on to reach the final of Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny?, and has spent the decades since touring the world as a headline act while building one of the most respected writing careers in British comedy.
His writing credits run through Have I Got News for You, The News Quiz, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats, and he has written jokes for Joan Rivers, Lenny Henry and Dame Edna Everage among others. He created and head-wrote the acclaimed Radio 4 series Bigipedia, and his solo Edinburgh show Before He Kills Again sold out its entire run before transferring to Soho Theatre; he has written and performed six further solo hours since.
